What do I need to set up new service?

Every customer is required to show a current government issued photo ID to set up service. The full amount of your deposit and service fees in the form of cash, check, credit or debit card, or money order is required at the time service is established. The service will only be set up in the customer’s name that is showing the required proper identification. This provision is required by the Federal Trade Commission to help deter identity theft.  Every customer is required to fill out our Applicant Information Form. For your convenience print this form and fill it out before coming into the office to establish service.

How much is the deposit for new service?

The homeowner deposit is $50.00 and the renter deposit is $100 for residential and $150.00 for commercial. Both service types are also charged a non-refundable $20.00 meter service fee at the time a deposit is rendered.

Collection of Bills

Billing shall be rendered monthly to water and sewer users who have established utility service with the Water and Sewer Commission of the City of Springdale, Arkansas. All water and sewer bills shall be due upon receipt. If a monthly bill is not paid on or before fifteen (15) days after the billing date, a ten (10) percent additional charge shall be collected. If a bill shall remain unpaid for a period of twenty-one (21) days after the billing date, water service may be disconnected and a service fee as established by the Springdale Water and Sewer Commission, as well as all outstanding amounts then due, shall be collected to reinstate water service.

Seasonal Irrigation Meters

If you water your yard, garden, or plants, a seasonal irrigation meter may be a good investment for you. Sewer is not charged for water consumed through seasonal meters. For a tap charge of $400, we will install an additional water tap for outside water use. A split seasonal tap charge would be $760.00. This will allow you to install your own fixtures (i.e. water spigots or underground sprinkler systems).

*All rates are subject to change upon approval by Springdale Water & Sewer Commission and the City Council
