Springdale Waste Water Treatment Facility

The City of Springdale has an advanced wastewater treatment facility that utilitzes a biological nutrient removal process and sand filters to provide tertiary treatment before releasing effluent into Spring Creek.  The initial treatment facility was constructed at the current location in 1964.  When the last expansion was completed in 2006, it resulted in an upgraded and expanded facility capable of providing current levels of wastewater treatment at the rate of 24 million gallons per day.
